Rainier Fall Bouquet
I spent some time at Mt. Rainier last weekend on a hunt for fall color. I'm glad I was able to get out last weekend, as there's a storm hitting the PNW right now. It's the first storm of the season to bring the snow level down to ~4000 feet, and this area (Mazama Ridge, ~5600 ft) will probably be under significant snow by Monday evening.
This image was taken about an hour before sunset, and is a blend of 3 exposures for depth of field and dynamic range. I haven't done much focus blending before, but I'm pretty happy with how the full res version of this turned out. It would be a major pain to blend without auto-align though -- even though my tripod and focal length didn't move, changing focus between images causes a slight shift in each image.

Divinely made by Our Father who art in heaven .....the greatest architect ever..what could we possibly give back to Him who has given mankind so much.........We can give Him praise!

I sure wish I could have the enthusiasm of the praise I speak of most all of the time....yet we all are having whatever struggles there are in the path that we go...but thank GOD that we now and forever have the Christ Spirit to be our helper!
